Teeth Shape: Normally similar to a canine (heterodont) or a dinosaur (homodont), but can have other shapes of teeth.
Tongue: Human-like tongue that fits in their mouth.
Ears: Like a reptile's, just an earhole.
Ear Crests: Firm but flexible, have muscles at the base so that they can move to express emotion/mating displays. Often slightly smaller than neck crests. Run down the side of the neck, parallel to the spine.

Legs: 3 toes, 1 dew claw. Muscular, can stand on them an walk around bipedal but it isn't practical for their lifestyle.

Tail: Long and prehensile and strong, used to balance their large bodies, and to manipulate objects. Unmutated tails have a "sticky" gecko-feet pad at the end to help hold onto things. Mutated tails usually lose the pad.
Skin: Any color. Covered in small lizard like hydrophobic scales. Soft and fairly smooth to the touch but a lot tougher and more durable than a human's. Has a dull gloss. They do not normally shed like reptiles! Instead the tiny scales flake away over time like human skin so they never have to do a full shed. However they will sometimes shed if there is a lot of skin damage (like burns or sunburn) to reveal a healthy layer of skin underneath.
Markings: Must have markings (doesn't include scars and soft gradients). Any color (around 1-3 colors but can be more but not recommended as it may make your Nel'oth look messy). Any shape, any size. Markings can grow to become more complex with age.

It produces a clear runny liquid contains toxins that can paralyze small to medium prey (Nel'oths are immune to this toxin, so its okay if they lick their wounds clean). Becomes really sticky and slippery when aroused or extremely excited. (optional: aromatic, example: smells like citrus, or flowers, etc.)
Heart: Nel'oths have 2 strong hearts to keep blood pumping through their large bodies. One in their chest and one in their lower waist/hips. It's very important because Dratenchya has a stronger gravity than Earth. If a Nel'oth is in an environment with less gravity, the second heart (in the hips) will adjust itself so that the Nel'oth will maintain a healthy blood pressure.

Infant Development
Newborns are born slightly underdeveloped during their first week after hatching, but not defenseless. Their crests are folded nubs and need to be given time to expand (like butterfly wings). For the first week their skin is also a bit more delicate and seemingly mushy to the touch before it hardens up. Their eyes are almost fully developed when born. They can first start learning how to walk in about half a week, and can walk properly in about a month and a half.
Babies are also a bit chubby as they are born with more body fat, this typically disappears after 3 months. They also can only consume Nel'oth milk during their first 2 months. They can be left alone in the den for a few hours at a time however its typical that a parent or guardian is always present to watch and take care of them.
