Through many years of dedicated practice, one can obtain a second elemental affinity. In uncommon cases, individuals can learn a third affinity. In rare cases, prodigious Nel'oths can master a fourth. For ARPG purposes, every Nel'oth is limited to a total of 3 elemental affinities & 1 celestial affinity.
The affinity a Nel'oth is born with is at lv.1 and scales with age. They do not need to go thorough the affinity leveling system. The Nel'oth must be at least a teen before they start learning a second elemental affinity.
Learnt Affinities can be passed on to offspring.
Example: (Sky+Electricity+Moon) x (Plant+Earth+Sun) = (Sky+Sun) or (Electricity+Sun) or (Plant+Moon) or (Earth+Moon)
[This is now irrelevant due to the breeding prompt being removed from the species. However it is still applicable lore wise.]

Lv3: adept: your character practicing with their teacher

Fire+Earth= Metal manipulation
Plant+Earth= Amazing at agriculture (can influence plant growth greatly)

Water+Sun= Heating up large areas (but is humid)
Plant+Sun= Doesn't need to eat as much (solar powered in some away)
Electric+Earth= Can store more electricity in the body than if only has electricity
